Shrink fit tool holder is an intermediate clamping element that connects the main shaft and the tool. There is no intervention between the tools and the shrink fit tool holders. When the tool is clamped, the heating induction device is used to heat the clamping part of the shrink fit tool holders to 250℃-425℃ within a short time. When the inner diameter expands to be larger than the diameter of the part of the tool being clamped, quickly insert the tool into the shrink fit tool holders. After the hot installation is completed, cool the handle and the tool. The tools and the shrink fit tool holders form an interference fit, thereby achieving reliable, high-precision and effective clamping of the handle to the tool. Bright-Tools has rich experience in shrink fit tool holderproduction and provides customers with various types of shrink fit tool holders, such as: standard type, slender type, thin-walled type, split type, curved type, and strong type, etc.
Compared with collet chucks, shrink fit tool holders have sufficient rigidity even when the clamped tool length is short (but not too short). If the clamped tool length is too long, it will be detrimental to processing. It will cause vibration inside the handle, or in severe cases, damage the tool inside the handle. Therefore, when clamping the tool on the hot installation handle, it should be clamped according to the required clamping length of the handle before processing. Bright-Tools shrink fit tool holders generally have length adjustment screws to prevent the chuck length from being too long.
After using the shrink fit tool holders, firstly blow away all kinds of debris, cutting fluid, and other impurities on the handle with an air gun, especially clean the inner hole of the handle.
After cleaning with an air gun, spray rust-proof oil on the inside and outside of the handle for rust protection.
If you want to use shrink fit tool holders that have been treated with rust prevention, clean the rust-proof oil on the inside and outside surfaces of the handle before heating the handle.
PS: When the shrink fit tool holders are not in use, it is recommended to leave the tool in the handle to prevent impurities from entering the inner hole of the handle.
